Conventional heat pump
Reaching high temperatures has needed a cascade of at least two cycles, each with its own compressor and refrigerant.
HotGreen is building the future of industrial heat. Our first solution is the HotStack, a high-temperature heat pump that cuts energy costs and carbon at the same time.
of global emissions come from industrial heating
Factories need hot water and steam to make food, drink, medicines and materials. Today that heat mostly comes from gas and oil boilers.
Heat pumps are far more efficient, but until now few could deliver industrial temperatures at a price that supported strong returns.
That’s the problem we’re here to solve
Every day, factories around the world burn gas and oil to make steam. It cooks, cleans, sterilises, dries and distils the things we eat, drink and rely on. It’s also one of the biggest sources of emissions that almost nobody talks about.
HotGreen is a British industrial heat pump company, built to change that. Our engineers have developed a new compressor technology that turns electricity into steam at the temperatures industry actually needs, using far less energy than conventional heat pumps. We’re starting with food and drink manufacturers, working with partners like Coca-Cola Europacific Partners to prove it in real factories, because heavy industry won’t switch on promises. It will switch when clean heat works, and costs less.
Reaching high temperatures has needed a cascade of at least two cycles, each with its own compressor and refrigerant.
One cycle lifts heat from air straight to steam temperature.
Electricity needed for the same temperature lift and amount of heat
≈30%
less electricity
To save manufacturers moneywhile cutting carbon.
We believe clean heat should also be the more affordable option. That is the only way industry will switch at the speed the climate needs.
